Equipment

  • Large punch bowl or cauldron
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Tongs or gloves (for handling dry ice)
  • Serving glasses or mugs
  • Spoon for stirring
  • Knife (for slicing garnishes)
  • Cutting board (for slicing garnishes)
  • Refrigeration
  • Ice cube trays (optional, for gummy ice cubes)

Ingredients

  • 2 liters Ginger Ale
  • 46 ounces Pineapple Juice
  • 6 ounces Lime Juice Concentrate
  • Green Food Coloring
  • Dry Ice for bubbling effect
  • Gummy Worms
  • Gummy Eyeballs
  • Assorted Halloween-themed gummies spiders, bats, skulls
  • Lime Slices for garnish
  • Orange Slices for garnish
  • Rosemary Sprigs for garnish
  • Simple Syrup or Agave Nectar optional, for adjusting sweetness

Instructions

  • In a large punch bowl or cauldron, combine the ginger ale, pineapple juice, and lime juice concentrate.
  • Add green food coloring, a few drops at a time, until you reach your desired shade of eerie green.
  • Gently stir the mixture to ensure the food coloring is evenly distributed.
  • Add your gummy worms, gummy eyeballs, and any other Halloween-themed gummies to the punch bowl.
  • Refrigerate the punch for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the gummies to soften slightly.
  • Just before serving, carefully add a few small pieces of dry ice to the punch. Use tongs or gloves to handle the dry ice and avoid direct skin contact.
  • Warn guests not to ingest the dry ice. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Garnish the punch with lime slices, orange slices, and rosemary sprigs.
  • Serve immediately in glasses or mugs, warning guests about the gummy creatures within.

Notes

For a flavor boost, experiment with cranberry juice or white grape juice. Adjust sweetness with simple syrup or lemon juice. For a creepy effect, freeze gummy worms and eyeballs in ice cubes. If dry ice is unavailable, use club soda for a milder fizz. For an adult version, add vodka, rum, or tequila (about 1/2 cup per batch, adjust to taste). To keep the fizz fresh, add the ginger ale and dry ice just before serving. Store any leftover punch in the refrigerator without the dry ice.
