Notes

For best results, use high-quality ingredients, especially chicken, ham, and Swiss cheese. Grate your own cheese for smoother melting. To prevent the chicken from drying out, avoid overcooking and ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or frozen for 2-3 months. Add cooked vegetables like broccoli or asparagus for extra nutrition. Substitute ham with Canadian bacon or turkey for different flavors. Make it ahead by assembling the casserole and refrigerating it for up to 24 hours before baking, adding 10-15 minutes to the cooking time.
