Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Spatula
  • Baking sheet (optional)
  • Dry skillet or microwave

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 6-8 large burrito-size tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  • Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it!
  • Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in the Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Make sure everything is well combined. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and dried parsley.
  • Mix until everything is well combined and creamy.
  • Lightly warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds to make them more pliable.
  • Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each tortilla, leaving about an inch of space around the edges.
  • Top the cheese mixture with the cooked garlic chicken. Don't overfill the wraps.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
  • Brush the outside of each wrap with melted butter.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Place the wraps in the skillet, seam-side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning!
  • Alternatively, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the wraps on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through.
  • Let the wraps cool slightly before slicing them in half. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Don't overfill the wraps. Use fresh garlic for the best flavor. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little kick. Prepare the chicken and cream cheese mixture ahead of time and store them separately. Customize your cheese with Pepper jack, Monterey Jack, or Parmesan. Sneak in chopped veggies like spinach, bell peppers, or onions. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or oven to keep the tortillas crispy.
