  • Bowls
  • Can opener
  • Colander

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 cups cooked rice white, brown, or cauliflower
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Drain off any excess grease.
  • Add the taco seasoning and water to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  • Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the meat is cooked through.
  • Divide the cooked rice evenly among bowls.
  • Top the rice with the taco meat.
  • Add your desired toppings to each bowl. Get creative and customize it to your liking.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy! Don't forget a squeeze of lime!

Notes

For a spicier bowl, add hot sauce, diced jalapeños, or cayenne pepper to the taco meat. For a creamy bowl, mix sour cream or Greek yogurt into the rice. Warm the rice before assembling for a more appealing dish. Drain the beans and corn well to prevent a watery bowl. Don't overcrowd the bowl with too many toppings. Use fresh herbs like cilantro or green onions for a burst of flavor. A squeeze of lime juice brightens up the flavors.
