Ingredients
  

  • 1.5-2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 ounces crumbled feta cheese
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1-2 teaspoons red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped optional garnish
  • Extra honey for drizzling optional garnish

Instructions
 

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  • Season generously with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, red pepper flakes, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
  • Pour the hot honey sauce over the chicken breasts in the skillet.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the skillet, and let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through. Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove the skillet from the heat.
  • Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the chicken.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and a drizzle of extra honey (if desired).
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the hot honey sauce. Leftover Hot Honey Feta Chicken can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can prepare the hot honey sauce ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week. If you don't like feta, you can try using goat cheese or ricotta cheese instead.
