Notes

For a Southwestern twist, add a can of diced tomatoes and green chilies. Stir in some sautéed mushrooms and onions for added depth of flavor. Top with crushed tortilla chips for a crunchy texture. Add a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. You can substitute the Monterey Jack cheese with mozzarella, provolone, or Colby Jack cheese. Turkey bacon or ham can be used as a lower-fat alternative to bacon.
