Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Medium bowl
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Spoon or spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped pickled jalapenos more or less to taste
  • ¼ cup cooked and crumbled bacon optional
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Everything bagel seasoning, for topping optional
  • All-purpose flour, for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, jalapenos, and bacon (if using). Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth mixture.
  • Lightly flour a clean surface.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough onto the floured surface.
  • Gently separate the dough into triangles.
  • Spoon a generous tablespoon of the cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the point, securing the tip by gently pressing it into the roll.
  • Place the rolls onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
  • Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning (if using).
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Monitor closely to prevent burning.
  • Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Be cautious of the hot cheese filling.

Notes

For best results, soften the cream cheese completely before mixing. Adjust the amount of jalapenos to control the spice level. Avoid overfilling the crescent rolls to prevent bursting during baking. These are best served warm. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated. You can also freeze the unbaked rolls for longer storage.
