This Easy Stuffed Shells recipe is a cheesy, comforting, weeknight miracle. With minimal effort and maximum flavor, it’s your go-to meal when you want to impress without the stress. Jumbo pasta shells packed with ricotta, beef, and Italian herbs, baked in marinara and topped with gooey cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz jar marinara sauce
  • 15 oz container ricotta cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cook pasta shells until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  • In a skillet, brown ground beef. Drain fat. Add onion and garlic; cook 5 minutes.
  • Stir in 1 cup of marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta, Parmesan, egg, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Spoon beef mixture and ricotta filling into cooked shells.
  • Spread remaining marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Arrange stuffed shells in the baking dish and top with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make ahead and freeze for stress-free dinners. Swap beef for sausage or mushrooms for variety. Use piping bags to stuff shells faster. Great with garlic bread and salad!
