Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Paper towels
  • Tongs or spatula

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Pat the beef cubes dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the beef cubes to the skillet in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Work in batches if needed.
  • Sear the beef for about 2-3 minutes per side, until nicely browned but still slightly pink in the center.
  • Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Bring the sauce to a simmer.
  • Return the seared beef to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce.
  • Toss the beef to coat it evenly in the sauce.
  • Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the beef to heat through and absorb the flavors of the sauce.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Garlic Butter Beef Bites!

Notes

For perfectly tender beef bites, pat the beef dry before searing, don't overcrowd the pan, and don't overcook. Aim for medium-rare to medium. Use a good quality sirloin steak for the best flavor and texture. Spice it up with cayenne pepper or hot sauce. Add sautéed mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers. Experiment with different herbs like thyme, rosemary, or oregano. Make it creamy by stirring in a tablespoon or two of heavy cream or sour cream. Serve as an appetizer, main course, over pasta, or in a wrap.
