Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Oven
  • Mixing bowl
  • Two forks
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Meat thermometer

Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns Hawaiian rolls preferred
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ½ - ¾ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, avocado

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Bake chicken for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let cool slightly, then shred with two forks.
  • In a bowl, combine shredded chicken with ranch dressing. Start with 1/2 cup and add more until the chicken is nicely coated but not swimming in dressing.
  • Slice slider buns in half horizontally. Place bottom halves on a baking sheet.
  • Spread chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the buns. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
  • Generously sprinkle shredded cheese over the bacon.
  • Place the top halves of the buns on top of the cheese.
  • Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and buns are lightly toasted. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning.
  • Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and add optional toppings. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Don't overcook the chicken. Use a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches 165°F (74°C). For extra flavor, use high-quality, thick-cut bacon. Lightly toasting the slider buns before assembling can prevent them from getting soggy. Feel free to customize with different cheeses, toppings, or a dash of hot sauce for a spicy kick. Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
