Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Large bowl
  • Microwave or dry skillet
  • Spatula
  • Griddle or lightly oiled skillet
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 large burrito-size tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped optional
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking spray

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and sautéed garlic. Mix well until everything is evenly combined. Add red pepper flakes and parsley if desired.
  • Warm the tortillas in a microwave or dry skillet for a few seconds to make them more pliable.
  • Place a generous amount of the chicken and cheese filling in the center of each tortilla.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly.
  • Heat a lightly oiled skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  • Place the wraps seam-side down in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey.
  • Remove the Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps from the skillet and slice them in half.
  • Serve immediately while the cheese is still melted and the tortillas are warm and crispy.

Notes

For best results, use pre-cooked chicken to save time. You can substitute the cheeses with your favorite blends. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave. To add more flavor, sauté onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms and add them to the filling. For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
