Boozy Orange Creamsicle Dream Float

Ingredients
  

  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 ounces orange liqueur Cointreau or Grand Marnier
  • 1 ounce vodka optional
  • ½ cup orange soda
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
  • Whipped cream optional
  • Orange slices for garnish
  • Optional: Orange zest for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Chill your glasses in the freezer for at least 15 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine the orange liqueur and fresh orange juice. Stir well.
  • Add vodka (if using) to the orange mixture and stir.
  • Place 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream into each chilled glass.
  • Slowly pour the orange liqueur mixture over the ice cream in each glass.
  • Top each glass with orange soda, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
  • Top with whipped cream (if using) and an orange slice. Sprinkle with orange zest, if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use high-quality vanilla ice cream and freshly squeezed orange juice. Chill all ingredients before preparing the float. To prevent excessive fizzing, pour the orange mixture and soda slowly. Adjust the amount of vodka and orange liqueur to your preference. For a mocktail version, omit the alcohol and add a splash of orange extract. You can substitute the orange soda with other citrus flavored sodas for a unique twist.
