Equipment

  • Large bowl
  • Small bowl
  • Whisk
  • Large skillet
  • Spatula
  • Kitchen scale (optional)
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef 80/20 blend
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon Sugar
  • 12 Slider Buns
  • 1 cup Shredded Iceberg Lettuce
  • ½ cup Diced Onion
  • 12 slices American Cheese
  • Pickle Slices

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and sugar. Whisk until smooth and set aside. This is your special sauce.
  • In a large bowl, gently mix ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Divide the meat mixture into 12 equal portions (about 1.5-2 ounces each). Form each portion into a small patty, slightly flattening the center to prevent puffing during cooking.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked through and browned. The internal temperature should reach 160°F.
  • In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of American cheese and let it melt.
  • Lightly toast the slider buns (optional).
  • Spread a generous amount of special sauce on the bottom bun.
  • Top with shredded lettuce, diced onion, a cheeseburger patty with melted cheese, and pickle slices.
  • Place the top bun on top.
  • Repeat the assembly for the remaining sliders.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best flavor, chill the special sauce for at least 30 minutes before assembling the sliders. This allows the flavors to meld. Cook the patties in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan and ensure even cooking. Leftover sliders can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or oven. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the special sauce. You can also experiment with different types of cheese, like cheddar or Swiss. Crispy bacon can also be added for extra flavor and texture.
